At RedShift tonight for a special radio show previewing the Acoustic Lounge event this coming Sunday. Dotty hosted the show and guests included Richard Ault, Sam Astley, Phil Maddocks, Barry Lawton, Sheena Bratt and Dayve Dean. And the Angry Badgers were there too. I think that was everyone....?

Back at Sq1 tonight. Another 'Unsigned Friday' gig. This time it's an indie four-piece from Sandbach. A little bit Artics; a little bit more Little Man Tate. We rather enjoyed them! Unfortunately the evening was marred by a very wet load-out. You can't win 'em all....

At The Box tonight for an evening of comedy and anecdotes with Shep Woolley and the fascinating Eric, former submariner and now stand-up act, fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe (we were there too, with DD!). Here's Eric, AB and Sazo Badger after the show.

Ravin' at The Raven

Well, not quite. We popped along to Scott D Thompson's inaugral acoustic night down at The Raven on Brookhouse. A few in. We'll see how it goes. Other highlights included Djembe Dave and his mate, who rivaled The Streets with their brilliant 'All Change at Crewe' [Search for ACIDFOLK on Reverbnation].

At The Box (Bar 7 actually) for the Boozy Blues thingy. A good laugh, although slightly disorganised (Raymondo, not us!). A veritable feast of music; here's our good friends Adam Ward and Nathan Moore. Quality. AB loves them!

Stuck in the 80's

Electro 80's at a packed Shav Club tonight. We've wanted to see these for ages and they didn't disappoint. Quality covers through a decent PA with good visuals. AB thought that they were wicked!

Hop Pole

A new room at an old venue. Foulplay are back at the Hop Pole tonight, but this time playing in the upstairs function room. It's Lee's birthday too!

Duffey Boys

At The Lord Combermere in Audlem tonight for The Duffey Boys open mic night. DD and Nick played a few tunes with Mat helping out on the cajon. Here's AB listening to Ian and Pete.

Axis of Awesome

Australian musical/comedy youtube viral sensations AXIS OF AWESOME played their only UK date tonight and the Angry Badgers were there as guests (liggers!).

The show was fabulous, and, if you do nothing else today, check out their 'four chord song' on youtube - it's had over 12 MILLION hits!!

Dayve's back!

It's been a few weeks since the last show with DD, but we rehearsed today ahead of Friday's last-minute booking at Square One in Crewe. It's been ages since we did a local show too, so we're really looking forward to it!

Junker

It's the last time that we'll mention the exhibition. Honest. Here's AB with local alt-metalists JUNKER, at SJN's launch night. Badgers both were in attendance along with a host of other local peeps. We had a right good time!

VIP preview

Jaydot gave Granny Badger an exclusive VIP tour of the exhibition this evening, ahead of tomorrow's official launch event. AB got a bit bored and wanted to play 'hide and seek'!

Gig Guide

AB is busy this afternoon, updating the Crewe Gig Guide (http://www.crewegigs.blogspot.com/). A bit of a milestone today, as the guide has now had 10,000 hits!! Woohoo!

All done!

It's taken a few days, but the exhibition is all but ready. Wulvern just need to bring in a few finishing touches, and then it's go for launch on Tuesday. AB is waiting for the wine to arrive..!

Swings and Roundabouts

The first gig of the New Year at Square One. The Angry Badgers have secured a residency providing sound reinforcement and lighting for SQ1's 'Unsigned Friday'. Tonight was a duo - Swings and Roundabouts. The Badger Banner had it's first outing too!

Abby Badger has gotten herself a drumkit! We picked it up in the Badger Bus this evening. I'm not sure whether AB is checking out the kit in the back of the bus, or sheltering from the blustery wind...

Boozey Blues

The Angry Badgers are powering the second stage at the Blues and Booze Festival at The Box on the 20th February. AB was very pleased with the HUGE poster outside the venue!

Club Tropicana

AB has been spring-cleaning his set today. He seems to have found some interesting reading! This gem is dated from 1986. It looks like Andrew Ridgeley's days were numbered... and who on Earth is 'Falco'?
